Hello, I'm AiRoxa
Illustrator, Comic-artist, Author
Currently building my portfolio and figuring out where art takes me.
This is where I keep my illustrations, comics, personal projects, and whatever else I happen to be creating.
I’m still growing my professional portfolio, so there isn’t a huge collection of work here just yet, but this website will grow alongside me as I take on more projects and create more artworks in the future.
Take a look around!

About Me
My real name is Ai, though I go by Roxa online.
I’m a self-taught illustrator, comic artist, and author who has always had a hard time putting my work into just one box. I draw, write, design characters, make comics, and explore whatever idea happens to catch my attention. Rather than sticking to one particular niche, I’m interested in seeing how far I can take my art across different kinds of projects.
A lot of my work revolves around characters, storytelling, and the worlds I build around them. I’m currently exploring my interest in Malay and Nusantara history and culture through a personal comic project, while also developing my own characters, illustrations, and stories. Alongside my personal work, I’m open to creating illustrations, character art, comics, and other visual work for authors, brands, events, and merchandise.
My goal is to build a creative career where I can explore art without being limited to one medium or one form. I want to create across illustration, comics, writing, character design, and other forms of storytelling. Hopefully, along the way, I can make things that people enjoy, connect with, or even find inspiration in.
More than anything, I want to keep creating things that leave some kind of impression on people, no matter how big or small :3
Project
One of the projects I’m currently exploring is a personal comic inspired by the Malay/Nusantara world, particularly its history, culture, traditional clothing, folklore, and everyday life.
I’m still very much in the early stages of developing this project. I have some characters, ideas, scenes, and bits of story that I really like, but I don’t have a proper direction for it yet. So for now, I’m just exploring and seeing where it takes me.
I want to use this project as a way to learn more about the culture and history that inspired it, while also experimenting with storytelling, character design, panelling, and the visual side of creating a world of my own.
Honestly, I don’t really know what this is going to become yet. Maybe a comic, a series of short stories, maybe something much bigger eventually. For now, I’m just having fun building it.

Personal commissions and commercial commissions are handled separately. Choose the option that applies to your project.

Personal Commission Terms & Conditions
Please read before commissioning me! By placing an order and making payment, you agree to these terms.
1. Payment
You can choose to pay the full amount or 50% upfront.
I will start working once the upfront payment has been received.
If you choose the 50% option, the remaining balance is due after the sketch is completed and before I continue with the final artwork.
The illustration will be continued after full payment has been received.
2. Sketch & Revisions
I will send one WIP/sketch update for you to review.
One revision is included for changes or corrections.
Once the sketch has been approved, major changes or redraws may not be possible without an extra charge.
3. References & Artistic Liberty
Please provide any references that are important to your commission, such as character designs, outfits, poses, colours, images, or specific details.
Don’t have a reference for something? That’s okay! You can leave it to me and give me artistic liberty to interpret or design it myself.
4. Turnaround Time
The usual turnaround time is up to 1 month, depending on the complexity of the artwork and my current workload.
If I need more time, I’ll let you know.
Need it done sooner? Rush commissions are available depending on my schedule and will have a rush fee. Please let me know about your deadline before placing your order.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
No refunds or cancellations are accepted once payment has been made, so please make sure you’re happy with the commission details before paying.
6. Usage Rights
All commissions are for personal use only unless we have agreed otherwise beforehand.
You are welcome to use your commission for profile pictures, wallpapers, personal social media posts, and personal printing.
You may not resell the artwork, use it for merchandise or commercial purposes, claim the artwork as your own, or reproduce or redistribute the artwork without permission.
Commercial usage is available upon request.
7. Posting & Portfolio
I may post your finished commission on my social media and/or portfolio with a watermark.
If you’d prefer your commission to remain private, just let me know before commissioning me. A privacy fee may apply.
8. Final Files
You will receive 3 versions of the finished artwork: a watermarked version, a non-watermarked version, and a transparent PNG version.
9. Other
I reserve the right to decline a commission if the request is outside my boundaries, skills, or available services.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask before placing your order!
Thank you for supporting my art! ♡
Commercial Commission Terms & Conditions
Please read before commissioning me! These terms apply to commercial illustration commissions. By placing an order and making payment, you agree to the following.
1. Pricing & Payment
Commercial commissions are priced at 2× my personal commission rates.
You may pay the full amount upfront or split the payment into up to 3 installments.
For 3-installment payments: 1st payment before I begin the sketch; 2nd payment after the sketch is completed; 3rd payment before approximately 70% of the artwork is completed.
I will only proceed to each stage once the required payment has been received.
The final artwork will only be delivered after the full payment has been completed.
2. Sketch & Revisions
I will provide WIPs during the process, with the sketch being the main stage for checking the direction of the artwork.
Up to 3 rounds of revisions are included.
Please provide your references, requirements, and instructions clearly before I begin.
Major changes outside the original commission scope may require further discussion.
3. References & Artistic Liberty
Please provide any important references or materials needed for the commission.
If you don’t have a specific reference for something, that’s completely fine! You may leave it to me and give me artistic liberty to interpret, design, or develop it myself.
4. Turnaround Time
The usual turnaround time is up to 1 month, depending on the complexity of the artwork and my current workload.
If I need more time, I will let you know.
Rush work is available depending on my schedule and will have a rush fee. Please mention any deadlines when discussing your commission.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
No refunds or cancellations are accepted once payment has been made.
Please make sure the commission details, pricing, and intended usage are agreed upon before making payment.
6. Commercial Usage
Commercial commissions are for situations where you are commissioning my artwork to be used as part of your own commercial product, publication, or project.
Examples include book covers and illustrations, illustrations for books or other publications, artwork for products or merchandise, artwork used in a game or other creative project, promotional artwork that is part of your own product or publication, and other commercial uses agreed upon before the commission.
The artwork may not be resold as the artwork itself, licensed to another party, or used for a different project or purpose without permission.
If you plan to use the artwork for something not mentioned when placing the order, please discuss it with me first.
7. Promotional & Collaboration Work
If you are hiring me to create promotional content, advertise your brand/product, participate in a campaign, create content for your company, or collaborate with your business, this falls under my Commercial Work rather than a standard commercial art commission.
8. Artist Rights & Portfolio
I retain the rights to the artwork as the artist unless a separate agreement states otherwise.
I may display completed work in my portfolio, social media, website, or other promotional platforms.
If the project is confidential or cannot be publicly displayed, please let me know before commissioning me.
9. Final Files
You will receive the agreed final artwork files in the formats discussed for the project.
Please make sure to download and keep your files after delivery.
10. Other
I reserve the right to decline a commission if the request is outside my skills, boundaries, or available services.
If you have any questions about the commission or how the artwork can be used, please ask before making payment.
Thank you for supporting my work! ♡
